Today was a travel day for us as we departed from our hotel in Athens at 9:35 am for the train station, which was right down the street. We were catching a train to Thessaloniki and would arrive there at 4 pm. During our trip, we saw multiple towns and mountainsides with various crops being planted and harvested. There was even a mountain that still had snow on it!
We arrived at Hotel Anessis around 4:15, and then were given free time to get ready for dinner or hang out with fellow classmates. We left for dinner at 7pm and arrived at the restaurant Zithos, which had something on the menu for everyone's pallet. We decided to try multiple local dishes as appetizers which were overly liked by the students.
After dinner we walked back to the center of the town where we were told to meet back at 10pm and were given time to get dessert, however, we all were tired and met back up around 9:30. There was a group of students that got dessert from a local pastry shop and tried a local pastry called Trigono, which was EXTREMELY delicious, we will be going back for more that's for sure!
